The World Heritage Site has been turned into a “war zone” with up to 20 people dead, including a pregnant mum and her baby.
And with temperatures plunging to -11C, it is feared more will die as they try to get into Europe.
Armed Polish militia have been patrolling the forest, hunting refugees and migrants hiding in the undergrowth while volunteers are banned from entering “no man’s land” to answer their calls for help.
